Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil (for frying)

Sauce

  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Optional Garnishes

  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

Step1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Pat the chicken dry and cut it into ½-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the chicken cubes in the mixture until evenly coated.

Step2: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides (about 5–7 minutes). Ensure an internal temperature of 165°F for doneness.

Step3: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, combine Thai sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and honey.
  2. Cook the sauce over medium heat until it simmers.

Step4: Combine and Serve

  1. Toss the fried chicken into the simmering sauce.
  2. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds

Notes

  • Adjust Spice Levels: Reduce or omit the sriracha sauce for a milder flavor.
  • Protein Alternatives: Use shrimp, cod, or tofu as a substitute for chicken.
  • Crispy Texture Tip: Coat chicken thoroughly with cornstarch for an extra crispy finish.
