- 2 tsp minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
- 1 2/3 cups canned San Marzano tomatoes, finely crushed
- 2 pinches of salt
- 8 oz. fresh mozzarella, cut into ¾-inch cubes
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, whole or chopped
Instructions
Step1: Prepare Your Oven
- Preheat the oven to 550°F.
- Place a pizza stone inside and let it heat for 45–60 minutes.
Step2: Make the Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 15–20 minutes until thickened.
Step3: Shape the Dough
- Divide the pizza dough into two equal portions.
- Roll each into a thin, oval shape on a floured surface.
Step4: Assemble the Pizza
- Spread ½ cup of sauce on each crust.
- Evenly distribute mozzarella cubes over the sauce.
