Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Inside Out Egg Roll in a Bowl that captures all the flavors of traditional egg rolls without the hassle of wrapping.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups coleslaw mix
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground pork or chicken and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and ground ginger. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the coleslaw mix to the skillet and stir well to combine with the meat and onion mixture.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the coleslaw is wilted.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
  8. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
