Description

Create a stunning Holiday Punch Bowl Ice Ring to elegantly elevate your holiday gatherings. This centerpiece not only keeps drinks cold but also adds flair to any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained (juice reserved)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups water, or as needed
  • 2 green kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 gold kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • Ice cubes (for filling gaps)
  • 1½ cups green grapes
  • Optional Additions:
  • Fresh cranberries for a festive red color
  • Sliced oranges or lemons
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Edible flowers
  • Sprigs of rosemary for a festive touch

Instructions

  1. Rinse your bundt pan or ring mold with warm water and line it with clear plastic wrap.
  2. Place a layer of maraschino cherries along the bottom of the mold with mint leaves scattered between them.
  3. Add about ½ inch of water (with some cherry juice for color, if desired) and freeze for about 2 hours until solid.
  4. Once frozen, arrange sliced kiwis and half of the grapes on top and add another ½ inch of water. Freeze for 2 hours until solid.
  5. Add remaining fruits in an attractive pattern, fill with water leaving ¼ inch from the top, and freeze overnight until solid.
  6. To unmold, dip the bottom of the mold in warm water for about 30 seconds, place a serving plate on top, and flip.
  7. Place the finished ice ring in a punch bowl and serve your punch around it just before guests arrive.

Notes

  • Use distilled or filtered water for clearer ice.
  • Frozen fruit can be used but should be thawed and dried first.
  • Your ice ring can be made up to 1 week in advance and stored wrapped in plastic wrap and a freezer bag.
