Description

Texas Trash Dip is a perfect party snack or game day favorite! It’s cheesy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the refried beans and cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  2. Add the taco seasoning to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  3. Spread the bean and cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a large serving dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the salsa, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spoon the salsa mixture over the refried bean layer in the serving dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top of the salsa layer.
  7. Garnish with sliced black olives and chopped green onions.
  8. Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips or veggie sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Refrigerating the dip allows the flavors to meld together.
