- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup pastry cream or custard
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over low heat until warm and the butter has melted. Allow it to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.
- Pour the warm milk and butter mixture into the dry ingredients, followed by the eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the pastry cream or custard evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Scatter the fresh raspberries over the custard layer.
- Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, creating a log shape.
- Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the buns and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the buns to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

- For best results, use fresh raspberries.
- These buns can be served warm or at room temperature.
