Description

A simple and healthy recipe for protein bagels made with Greek yogurt and self-rising flour.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 large egg
  • Optional toppings: Everything seasoning, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour until a dough forms.
  3. Add the large egg to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Lightly knead the dough on a floured surface for about a minute until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into four equal portions and shape each portion into a bagel form by rolling it into a ball and then creating a hole in the center with your fingers.
  6. Place the shaped bagels onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. If desired, sprinkle toppings such as Everything seasoning, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds on top of the bagels.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the bagels are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
