Description

A delicious and easy layered dip combining cream cheese, salsa, and shredded cheddar cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 jalapeño, diced (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese evenly on the bottom of a serving dish or pie plate.
  3. Layer the salsa over the cream cheese, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix the sour cream and half of the chopped green onions. Spread this mixture over the salsa layer.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sour cream layer.
  6. For added flavor, sprinkle diced jalapeño (if using) on top of the cheese.
  7. Finish with the remaining chopped green onions as a garnish.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

  • This dip is best served cold after chilling.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Can be made a few hours in advance for convenience.
