Description

Keto Crème Brûlée Bars are a delicious, low-carb dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth. Made with creamy custard and a crispy caramelized top, these bars are perfect for sharing or enjoying as a treat at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated erythritol
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons brown erythritol (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, granulated erythritol, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the almond flour mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create the crust layer.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the crust in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
  8. Once cooled, sprinkle the brown erythritol evenly over the top of the bars.
  9. Using a kitchen torch, carefully brûlée the erythritol topping until it forms a crispy, caramelized layer. Alternatively, place the bars under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  10. Allow the bars to cool and set before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Keep a close eye on the bars when broiling to avoid burning.
  • These bars can be refrigerated for a few days; reheat slightly to enjoy.
