Description

Delicious low-carb biscuits topped with rich sausage gravy, perfect for a keto breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, blend together melted butter, cream cheese, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Scoop the dough and form into biscuit shapes. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. While biscuits are baking, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove and drain excess fat.
  8. In the same skillet, add heavy cream and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
  9. Let the gravy simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and mix.
  10. Serve the biscuits warm, topped generously with the sausage gravy.
