Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, place the chicken breasts and drizzle with olive oil, ensuring each breast is evenly coated.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the Parmesan-bread crumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the coating.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each breast.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.
  9. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
